PRESENTER: Scott Thompson, Director of Management Development for Advance Auto

“Living a Strengths Based Life: Fact or Fiction”

For years we have heard the concept of leading a Strengths-Based Life.  We can all identify with the desire to do things in our life that we have natural gifts for doing.  We understand that by doing this we can be rewarded with job satisfaction, life balance, and overall success.  We have heard stories of a few heroes that have been able to create a Strengths-Based focus in their life.  However, most of us when tempted to travel this path find more obstacles than we are currently equipped to overcome.  This session is not going to be about identifying your unique strengths – there are plenty of great companies and tools available to do that.  Nor is it going to be about the strengths-based philosophy.  Rather, we are going to look at three proven solutions that you can start doing today to remove barriers, accelerate your journey towards a strengths-based life, and unlock your potential.

Scott Thompson has been an Organizational Development leader for fortune 500 companies and global nonprofit organizations for over 10 years.  Scott is also the founder of TCG Consulting holds an M.S. in Organizational Leadership, serves as a member of the Strayer University business faculty, provides college lectures internationally on Leadership Development, and is a life-long student of Structural Dynamics.  Scott is currently serving Advance Auto Parts as their Director of Management Development responsible for helping over 3000 managers reach their full-potential.
